Oak View Civic Council

The Oak View Civic Council has been incorporated since 1957 and consists solely of volunteers from our community who would like to see our community progress. We are a non-profit organization, run solely on funds we raise at fundraisers. These funds directly benefit members of our community. The Council meets at 6:00 pm the first Wednesday of each month, at the Oak View Community Center, 18 Valley Road., Oak View. Please join us. (See our By-Laws here.)

Become a 'voting member' of the Council
We encourage all citizens to become voting members of the Oak View Civic Council. The annual membership fee is only $5.00 (merchant coupons included) or $20.00 (merchant coupons and 1 ticket to the awards/mayoral election in June included). Membership year is July through June, and previous members are encouraged to renew their membership.

Membership fees help support the Civic Council in activities and provide funds to help various local civic groups and non profit organizations, such as the Oak View Friends of the Library, the Little League, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Oak View Park & Resource Center, Art to Grow On, and any other community group who petitions us for assistance.

Members receive monthly e-mail announcements of meetings and events. If membership is not possible, we encourage citizens to be supporters by attending the meetings and events, and volunteering to assist at the events. Supporters receive monthly e-mail announcements of meetings and events. Read or download the Council brochure. Membership applications are available at Allstate Insurance, 378 Ventura Avenue, Oak View or here on this Oak View Civic Council website: Membership application form (.pdf)
