Beautification - Highway 33 Streetscape

We envision a streetscape for Highway 33 through Oak View that consists of a tree-lined street with a cohesive, welcoming architectural style. This streetscape should encourage people to stop and enjoy the local businesses. Pedestrian and bike traffic should be encouraged and enhanced. Traffic calming designs with planted medians and safe crosswalks could be a part of future development.

On the pictorial, we show in green the places where we would consider ideal to have more trees.
Click on the image below for a much larger and detailed view ... the map from Left to Right starts at the entrance into Oak View, via Highway 33 (see Builders Mart) and extends across the main commercial strip, to past the Shell station and just past the Casitas Municipal Water offices on the left, as you head into Ojai.
